What exactly are "RockaSkins"?
Thin artist designed Adhesive-backed vinyl pieces, custom cut to cover the front and back of your device for maximum style effect (except the buttons, screen and camera lense). A matching downloadable background for your device screen completes the stylish RockaSkin look!

Do you only make RockaSkins for iPhone?
No. We also make them for iTouch, BlackBerry Curve, BB Tour, BBStorm, BB Pearl. More to come in the future! Let us know what you want to RockaSkin!

How thick are RockaSkins?
Forget about thick hard plastic and rubber cases that make your device look fat and ugly. RockaSkins are paper thin, giving your device a skinny, sexy and stylish look!

Will RockaSkins protect my device?
Our adhesive skins are made of premium vinyl that will protect your device from the harshest scratches.

How often do you release new designs?
New designs are added to the RATE DESIGNS section weekly for you to view, rate and share. New designs are added to the BUY SKINS section monthly.

I'm trying to comment on a design, but my comment is registering?
We have strict security measures so that no one can rate multiple times so the rating process fair. You may have:
1. already rated once, and were trying to do so for a second time.
2. been using an IP address that someone else has already rated the design from ie. using the same computer or internet connection as a friend.

APPLYING AND REMOVING YOUR ROCKASKIN

Can Rockaskins be applied easily?
Very easily. They are custom designed and cut for each device. Take your time, follow the instructions and you will have no problem making your device stylish.

How do I apply my new RockaSkin?

  1. Clean your device with a slightly damp cloth (do not get water directly on your device)
  2. Let dry
  3. Slightly dampen a cloth with rubbing alcohol, then wipe your device surfaces again (this removes finger print grease)
  4. Let dry again
  5. Slowly peel off your skin starting at the edge of the largest area
  6. Looking straight down, line it up over your device (specifically the buttons)
  7. Apply the skin (make sure your device is on a flat surface)
  8. If the skin does not line up on your first try, slowly peel it off and try again (careful not to stretch the skin or it will no longer fit)
  9. Firmly press the skin from the middle to the edges, pushing out any air bubbles
  10. When applying to curves or corners, you can gently stretch the skin to get a tight fit

How do I remove bubbles in my Skin?
Bubbles generally disappear with time, but if the bubbles are large you can slowly peel the Skin back up and carefully reapply until smooth. Last resort, you can poke bubble gently with a sharp pin. Be careful not to lift the skin too quickly or you might stretch or tear the Skin.

Can your skins be removed easily?
Yes. Very easy and they leave no residue. Once removed, however, the skin will never again adhere quite as well as the first time.

Are your skins re-useable?
Yes and no. Skins are designed to be used only once, and will never again adhere as good as the first time, but customers have told us that they were able to remove and reapply the same skin several times.

Will my device still fit in its dock, case, armband or iTrip?
Yes. RockaSkins add almost zero thickness and will still fit perfectly.

SHIPPING

How long will it take to receive my order?
Most orders arrive within 8 business days, but we can't guarantee the postal service (especially outside North America).

How much does shipping cost?
USA and Canada $1.95. Everywhere Else - $3.95
*All customs, brokerage, and importing fees (where applicable) are the receiver's responsibility.

What is your return/exchange policy?
Return your unused, undamaged RockaSkin for exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. Include a note detailing the skin you would like in return.
*Shipping charges are non-refundable.

I want my own custom RockaSkin with a design I already have.
We make one-off custom orders, although expect to pay a premium. Please send an email with what you would like naked@rockaskin.com

What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard or PayPal.

Is your site safe for online transactions?
We take all precautions to ensure the security of our online system to keep all of your information confidential. Our web site keeps all of your information secure and can't be viewed, intercepted, or altered by anyone.

How does the Currency Exchange work?
All prices are in US dollars. Currency exchange is done at the time of purchase through your credit card company. Contact your credit card company for their currency conversion rates.

BECOMING A ROCKASKIN ARTIST / SUBMITTING A DESIGN

How do I become a RockaSkin artist?
Anyone with basic PhotoShop skills can become a RockaSkin artist!
For all the good details hit ARTISTS page you will also find the "Artist Submission Kit".

How are the artists compensated for their work?
Cash! Artists receive a royalty equal to 15% of sales on their skins. Not to mention an international fan base and exposure through the RockaSkin community!

Do I need to submit high resolution images?
Your design should be at least 300 DPI. Submit your design using the templates provided in the Artist Submission Kit. Please see the ARTISTS page for more info.

The web preview template has a lot of layers, where do I place my design within the template layers?
Any "user created artwork" for the web previews templates go in the layer folders that are highlighted with green (they should be empty to begin with).

What if my Design gets rejected?
To have the best possible chance at having your design accepted, read Reason for Decline.pdf to avoid the most common mistakes made when submitting.

Also look at the comments other designs are receiving and try to incorporate some of that feedback into your design. The community can be tough love!

Which device templates do I need to submit?
You must include a version of your design for each template found in the Artist Submission Kit (currently two - iPhone and iTouch). Every mobile device has different sized surface area and screen size, thus giving your design a slightly different look on each. This is your opportunity to bring your design to life on the different devices.

How many designs can I submit?
You can submit as many designs as you like, but no artist can have more than 3 designs in the "Rate Designs" section at any given time. After approximately 30-60 days your design(s) will either go into production or be declined. At that point you can submit more designs because your design(s) will no longer be in the "Rate Designs" section.

Is this a competition?
No. RockaSkin is a supportive creative community as exemplified by artists leaving supportive and constructive comments and ratings on other artists designs.

What do I get if my design is accepted?

IF SELECTED YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • International recognition and exposure on the RockaSkin community
  • Cash! 15% Royalty on all sales of your design

If my design is accepted, can I retain ownership of my design?
Yes! RockaSkin is an artist friendly and artist driven company that allows artists to retain ownership to all their designs.
